Every now and again you come across some daft story that some fuzzy photo or other "proves the existence" of the Loch Ness Monster, the Abominable Snowman, etc etc.
Well, it seems that a photo taken by the Mars exploration vehicle Spirit has got a number of credulous idiots excited, because it seems to show a human-like figure striding across the Martian landscape.
Even by the relatively poor standards of such stories, this is a pretty rubbish picture....although one joker has noted the figure's apparent likeness to the Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen, prompting the theory that an ancient civilisation abandoned Mars some time in the dim-and-distant and subsequently colonised Denmark.....

Unbelievable, how long this awful weather is lasting....haven't had a clear night for what seems like weeks. Bah!
Still, CAS have planned some observing evenings next month so with a bit of luck all the clear skies are getting saved up for then.
