Everyone knows that blogging is for political hotheads and nerds without real lives, so what am I doing here submitting entries to a blogging site?
One could conclude that I fall into one of the above two categories, but I'd rather expand my concept of who submits their diary entries to a public website.
Perhaps there is something for me to gain by using this mechanism to record my experiences- it could provide a discipline for writing to a "live" audience, or maybe it is just an easier way to post material that I think might be of interest to others, and thereby gain an occasional email, engage in discussions and speculations with others that find my words intriguing.
Whatever happens, I'll view this like many other endeavors in my life: another experiment. Let's see where it takes me...
